How do you paint a marble look on a cement floor?

Start by painting your floor with a good paint made for cement or masonry. Lets say you want a gray marble. Paint the whole floor with a medium grey color. Then you will need a lighter gray a white and maybe a darker gray. Sponge the lighter colors on. You will want to do no more than a three foot square at a time. While the sponged on color is still wet spritz it lightly with water from a spray bottle. This will soften the look. If you get it to blended, hit it lightly with the sponged color again. When you get the look you want let it dry. Then with an artists liner brush go in and add a few veins in the darker gray. You want the veins to go in the same direction on a diagonal. slightly v your veining. You might want to practice on a piece of cardboard first. It really is a fairly easy project though. Don't be nervous about it as you can always add more color and blend until you are happy with the look. Have fun. Almost forgot. You will need to seal it with a good sealer once you are finished. I agree with the first and second answers but instaed of spritzing with water , dip the tip of a long feather (think pheasent feather) in some paint thinner and then shake the excess off of it and then dip it in darker gray or white paint and slowly drag and while dragging twist %26amp;turn the feather at the same time-you may want to getx-tra feathers for the different colors of paint- the thinner stops the paints from sticking to fast to the base color.How do you paint a marble look on a cement floor?
I agree with the first answerer all except for making the lines. Use a sponge then soften the look by spritzin water on it. Use the edge of a feather to create the lines. It makes them look a lot more real than an artist brush.
