Yes, it can be used over wood flooring. However, using epoxy garage paint over wood will need 2 coats, one primer and one base coat. Do this during summertime if you do not live in warmer climate for quicker curing time. I am assuming you want to lay down an epoxy floor in a cargo trailer. I am a contractor in Montreal canada and we use only garage epoxy on all our balconies it is highly durable very water resistant and can be color matched to almost any color you would like.
The only drawback is that it can be slippery when wet or slippery when extremly cold.
You can add a special sand to the paint that makes it anti slip but this usually catches dirt (because it's rougher) and makes the paint harder to clean.
